Pilar's Beach Resort
If you want peace and quiet, away from the maddening crowd, this is your perfect sanctuary. Enjoy the comforts of Pilar’s Beach Resort, a property located in Malapascua, an island in the northern part of Cebu that is famous for its breathtaking diving spots, snorkeling and sightings of thresher sharks.
Pilar’s Beach Resort is unique in that it is on the less inhabited side of the island, away from the main commercial area where most of the resorts are located. It is nestled on a hill overlooking the beautiful and pristine sandy white beaches of the island and is just about 50 meters away from the waters.
The natives on this island are extremely helpful and friendly, and you can see them regularly fishing or catching sea urchins and seashells when the tide is low. You can also enjoy nutritious breadfruit which is endemic in the area, with several trees on the property itself. It is equipped with abundant piped water coming from its own deep well, and electricity. Telecommunication networks operate in the island so connectivity is not a problem.
The property has 3 structures: the main house has 3 levels with a smaller house just beside it and a restaurant by the beach:
1st level – 3 bedrooms each with its own T&B
2nd level – 2 bedrooms also its own T&B, a powder room, living room, dining room, a kitchen & a veranda
3rd level – 2 bedrooms with a common shower and toilet
The small house has 1 bedroom with a walk in closet and a spare bed space, its own T&B, dining room and kitchen.
More about the island, Malapascua is only 2.5 kilometers long and 1 kilometer wide.
You can explore the whole island in about 2 hours using a motorcycle, popularly known as habal-habal, and encircle it in a leisurely boat ride for a few hours, depending on how long it takes for you to appreciate and experience the many beautiful spots, including the coral reef sanctuary and Japanese ship ruins.
